The Sip-Off competition will be held at Mike’s Beer Bar on the North Shore (110 Federal Street, Pittsburgh) on Tuesday, April 21. Doors open at 4pm with winners announced at 7:30pm.

Yes. Competing breweries will be present at the Sip-Off and will be serving their beer to event attendees. The Sip-Off is designed as a highly interactive experience, giving guests the opportunity to taste the beers, meet the brewers, and learn more about the stories and ingredients behind each entry.
Yes. Tickets are limited and expected to sell out. Advance purchase is encouraged.
Tickets may be available at the door if the event does not sell out in advance. We recommend purchasing early to guarantee entry.
Yes. All ticketed guests must present a valid government-issued ID and will receive a wristband upon entry.
The Sip-Off is designed as a 21+ event. Ticketed guests will receive a wristband confirming they are 21+ and eligible to sample beer.
While individuals under 21 may enter Mike’s Beer Bar, they may not purchase tickets, receive a wristband, or participate in tastings.
If you’re looking for non-alcoholic options, Mike’s Beer Bar will have NA beers available for purchase. The breweries in the Sip-Off will be pouring their craft brews as part of the event.
Yes! Mike’s Beer Bar will be open throughout the event and offering its full menu for purchase.
Public parking is available throughout the North Shore. With the pro football draft approaching that week, we encourage guests to plan ahead and allow extra time for arrival.
Public transportation, bike share, and ride-share services are convenient alternatives — and we always encourage safe travel plans when enjoying alcoholic beverages.
Yes. Re-entry is allowed with your event wristband. Please keep your wristband on at all times for entry back into the event.
The Sip-Off highlights beers brewed with regionally grown malt, strengthening connections between local agriculture, craft brewing, and sustainable business practices in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
The Allegheny Mountain Malt Sustainable Sip-Off is presented by Food 21 and Sustainable Pittsburgh as part of the Bridge It Together campaign leading up to the 2026 pro football draft and beyond. The event highlights regional malt, local breweries, and sustainable sourcing practices.
